US citizens: No passport or customs required — Puerto Rico is a US territory. It's a domestic flight. International visitors clear US customs at their first US port of entry. SJU is the Caribbean's largest airport with multiple terminals.
SJU is a large, modern airport. After collecting bags, follow signs to Ground Transportation on the lower level. Pre-booked drivers will meet you at the designated pickup area. Uber operates at SJU (Lyft does not operate in Puerto Rico) — but pre-booked transfers are more reliable during peak travel times.
